Adolescence is the age group of 12 – 18 years and is also known as teenage. It is the development phase in child with the beginning of puberty. Due to changes in hormones, there is lot of stress, anxiety and disorder in the life of an individual who is no longer a child and does not qualify to be an adult. With so many changes in the body an individual finds it difficult to deal with it and gets psychologically disturbed. Parents can play a very important role in dealing with stress associated with adolescence. It is important for parents to ensure their child’s safety, to listen their needs and issues patiently, provide guidance as needed, spend quality time with them, and observe their surroundings and activities they are involved in. Children look up to their parents as role model and it is important for parents to keep up their expectations.
